A young lady has a blind date at her house, but not all is as it should be.
This short film was created through a London Short Film Script Challenge. It was there that i met an amazing writer called Soneil who had a real passion for storytelling.
Luckily for me he was interested in my directing style and asked me to shoot his short film script "BENJI" which i was really excited about. I shot the whole short film in a day on an A7S II with an anamorphic lens hence why there isn't much movement in the camera as to my usual style. Focus pulling was an issue on the day but the static shots seem to have come out fine.
This short film cost me around £200 to make which mainly went on travel and food for the very small crew we had.
The whole shoot was shot in the daytime from 7am - 8pm using tin foil and water on the windows to black out the flat. This short film was shot back to front in sequence.
